Derived from age model in Kaufman and others (2012).Lacustrine core from Arolik Lake in the Ahklun Mountains, southwest Alaska. The cores contain interbeds of mud and detrital organic material and at least six prominent tephra layers. The tephras appear as distinct beds of angular, very fine to medium sand-sized pumice grains, glass shards, and primary minerals. See Kaufman et al. (2003) for detailed description.Tephra C (in Kaufman et al. 2003), located 255 cm bottom depth in core (tube depth, not tephra-free depth); 1 cm thick; blocky pumice, crystal-rich.UA1791Tephra FallCumulateGlass 59.04 1.81 15.17 9.27 0.25 2.45 5.76 4.38 1.74 Reported standard deviation of zero. 1007993EMP9.27Cl=0.14; H2O=1.93EMP
