Sample of juvenile block from block-and-as flows deposited on the debris avalanche formed during flank collapse of ancestral Mt. Spurr (“pyroclastic fan”; sample PF-07 of Nye and Turner (1990). Very young columnar andesite at 1210' on stream E of camp. Large plag and smaller cpx phenocrysts. Plag lath-shaped 1-4 mm long. Texture unlike S1 and S3 b&a flows.
