* Notes: Details of EMP analytical procedures including analyses of standards given in Beget et el al. (1991a). All Fe reported as Fe3+. All analyses normalized to 100% to correct differential hydration. HSF = hydration scaling factor used to normalize each analysis (this is entered as H2O by difference during data entry). Prefix of SK = Skilak Lake sample numbers. First digit after SK lists number of coring site while second digit is the core number at that site. The last (third) digit is number of sub-sample containing the tephra, with each sub-sample being a 2-cm-thick core slice. See Stihler (1991) for details of individual core locations and descriptions ACT samples indicate tephras in permanent collection of the Alaska Center for Tephrochronology (ACT) at the University of Alaska. *
