Preece, S.J., Westgate, J.A., Froese, D.G., Pearce, N.J.G., and Perkins, W.T., 2011, A catalogue of late Cenozoic tephra beds in the Klondike Goldfields and adjacent areas, Yukon Territory: Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, v. 48, p. 1386-1418, doi: 10.1139/e10-110
DATA TABLES *Not all tables in a publication may be listed. Not all tables from a publication have data entered in the database.
3111: Major-element composition (in wt.%) of glass shards from tephra beds in the Klondike goldfields and adjacent areas.
* Note: Analyses were performed on a Cameca SX-50 wavelength-dispersive electron microprobe operating at 15 keV accelerating voltage, 6 nA beam current, and 10 micron beam diameter. Analyses for a few samples containing pumice with extremely narrow septa used a beam current of 5 nA and a beam diameter of 5 microns. Standardization achieved by use of mineral and glass standards. Analyses recast to 100% on a water-free basis. Values in parentheses indicate standard deviation; n, number of analyses; FeOT, total Fe as FeO; H2Od, water by difference; n.d. is standard deviation not determined because there
was only one nonzero analysis. Average is based on nonzero values. *5341: Trace-element composition (in ppm) of glass shards in tephra beds from the Klondike goldfields and adjacent areas.
