Over the past day, strongly elevated surface temperatures at Cleveland's summit, observed in satellite images, indicate the likely effusion of new lava in the summit crater. No activity was visible in web camera images. No unusual volcanic seismicity was detected during the past day.

Low-level eruptive activity within the summit crater of Shishaldin continues. Elevated surface temperatures were detected in satellite data from today. The level of seismicity remains above background.

A crew conducting gas measurements at the volcano yesterday reported seeing a low level plume from the summit of Shishaldin extending several tens of km downwind.
