SHISHALDIN VOLCANO (VNUM #311360)

Current Volcano Alert Level: WATCH
Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Weak elevated surface temperature was observed at the summit in one satellite image, otherwise no activity was detected in mostly cloudy satellite and web camera images over the past day. Seismic tremor continues, suggesting that low-level eruptive activity is ongoing.

52°49'20" N 169°56'42" W, Summit Elevation 5676 ft (1730 m)

Other than a possible minor steam plume observed in a single satellite image, no activity was detected in mostly cloudy satellite and web camera images over the past day. No significant activity was detected in seismic or infrasound (air pressure) data.

51°55'44" N 179°35'52" E, Summit Elevation 2625 ft (800 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

No activity was detected in cloudy satellite images over the past day. Seismic activity is slightly elevated above background levels.
