SHISHALDIN VOLCANO (VNUM #311360)
54°45'19" N 163°58'16" W, Summit Elevation 9373 ft (2857 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: WATCH
Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Seismicity remains slightly above background. Strongly elevated temperatures were seen at the summit in overnight satellite images, consistent with possibly lava in the crater. Partly cloudy webcam images from yesterday appear to show a slight coating of fresh ash on the snowy upper flanks.

Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Nothing significant observed in partly clear satellite images and web camera views over the past day. No activity was detected in seismic or infrasound (air pressure) data.
