Somewhat elevated seismic activity continues at Pavlof. Faint thermal signals were detected at the summit in a few cloud free satellite images over the past 24 hours. Eruptive activity may not be occurring at present, or is happening at a very low level. Pauses in vigorous eruptive activity of days to weeks are common during eruptive episodes of Pavlof Volcano. A return to more robust eruptive activity remains possible and could occur with little or no warning.

Seismic activity has remained elevated and steady over the past 24 hours. No ash plumes have been observed or detected in satellite images. When the volcano summit is not obscured by clouds, strongly elevated surface temperatures have been evident. The level of seismic activity and thermal features suggest that a low-level lava eruption continues within the summit crater of the volcano.

Nothing observed in satellite views over the past 24 hours. Seismicity remains low.
