PAVLOF VOLCANO (VNUM #312030)

The intensity of the eruption of Pavlof Volcano has greatly diminished, and the Aviation Color Code was decreased to ORANGE and the Volcano Alert Level to WATCH earlier today.

Seismic tremor abruptly decreased around 7 pm AKST yesterday (04:00 UTC on 16 November) and remains at very low levels since. Pilot reports from earlier today show no obvious signs of eruptive activity and satellite observations show diminished temperatures in the summit crater. Discrete seismic events continue to be observed, and minor ash emissions could occur. Pauses of days to weeks are common during eruptive episodes at Pavlof and increased activity could occur with little warning.

Current Aviation Color Code: ORANGE

Seismicity remains above background levels. Satellite and web camera observations were obscured by clouds over the past day. It is unclear whether low-level eruptive activity continues.

CLEVELAND VOLCANO (VNUM #311240)
52°49'20" N 169°56'42" W, Summit Elevation 5676 ft (1730 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Low-level volcanic unrest continues at Cleveland. Seismicity remains low. Satellite and web camera observations were mostly obscured by clouds over the past day.
