Low-level eruptive activity at Shishaldin Volcano continues. Seismicity remains elevated and slightly elevated surface temperatures in the summit crater were observed in satellite images over the past day.

Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Vigorous steaming from the summit crater was observed in web camera images over the past day. Steam emissions like these are routinely observed at Cleveland and do not necessarily indicate an increase in volcanic unrest. Satellite observations show no evidence of eruptive activity and seismicity remains low.
