Eruptive activity appears to have ceased at Pavlof. Earlier today, AVO downgraded the aviation color code and volcano alert level to Yellow/Advisory. Low-level seismicity continues. Occasional small plumes of steam, gas, and very minor ash from the summit area may occur. Eruptive activity could resume at any time, and AVO will continue to monitor Pavlof closely for signs of renewed eruption.
