SHISHALDIN VOLCANO (VNUM #311360)

Elevated surface temperatures were observed at the summit crater in a few partly cloudy satellite images of Shishaldin in the past 24 hours. The Webcam was mostly obscured by weather and moisture on the lens, though a brief clearing showed a steam plume issuing from the summit. No change in activity has been detected in the seismic data.

No unusual activity was observed in mostly cloudy satellite images during the past 24 hours.

56°11'52" N 159°23'35" W, Summit Elevation 8225 ft (2507 m)
Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Seismicity remains slightly above background. Nothing unusual visible in satellite images. Several brief periods of clear webcam views yesterday and today show a persistent, low-level steam plume issuing from the intracaldera cone.
