Elevated surface temperatures were observed at the volcano in satellite images through yesterday. The volcano is obscured by clouds in more recent images from today. Sound waves coupling into the ground (ground coupled air waves) from small explosions continue to be detected in seismic data. Such activity at Shishaldin has been associated with low-level gas and steam emissions.
