SHISHALDIN VOLCANO (VNUM #311360)

No unusual activity has been observed at Shishaldin Volcano during the past week. However satellite and webcam images of the volcano have been obscured by clouds and haze throughout the week. Data from the one working seismic station at Shishaldin does not show any unusual seismicity.

CLEVELAND VOLCANO (VNUM #311240)

Satellite views of the volcano were cloudy over the past 24 hours. No further eruptive activity has been detected at Cleveland since the two small explosions on February 25.

The occurrence of brief, sudden explosions of blocks and ash from the summit vent with little to no warning remains possible. If a large ash-producing event occurs, nearby seismic, infrasound, or volcanic lightning networks should alert AVO staff quickly. However, for some events, a delay of several hours or more is possible. Cleveland volcano does not have a local seismic network and is monitored using only distant seismic and infrasound instruments and satellite data.

Seismicity at Veniaminof remains slightly above background with no significant changes in recent weeks. No unusual activity was seen in satellite or webcam images over the past week, though these have largely been obscured by clouds.
