ALASKA VOLCANO OBSERVATORY DAILY UPDATE
U.S. Geological Survey
Thursday, July 18, 2013, 11:59 AM AKDT (Thursday, July 18, 2013, 19:59 UTC)

PAVLOF VOLCANO (VNUM #312030)

Current Volcano Alert Level: ADVISORY
Current Aviation Color Code: YELLOW

Seismic activity remains very low. Cloudy satellite observations show no evidence of elevated surface temperatures over the past 24 hours. No ash or gas emissions have been detected in satellite data and cloudy web camera images or reported by pilots. Observers in the field report lava flows down the north-northwest flank of Pavlof and a recently repaired seismic station on the north side shows signals associated with these flows.
