No additional eruptive activity has been observed at Cleveland since the brief eruption at approximately 2330 AKDT October 2 (0730 UTC October 3). Satellite and web camera views of the volcano are currently obscured by clouds.

The lack of a real-time seismic network at Cleveland means that AVO is unable to track local earthquake activity related to volcanic unrest. Short-lived explosions with ash plumes that could exceed 20,000 ft above sea level can occur without warning and may go undetected on satellite imagery.

Seismic activity at Shishaldin remains low. Satellite views over the past 24 hours have been cloudy. Nothing unusual was observed in clear web-camera views of the volcano yesterday; today the webcam view is obscured by clouds.
