11:00: Level of concern color code downgraded to ORANGE. (Note: Redoubt Volcano Chronology in the AVO Monthly Report lists the color code change at 15:00 AST)
11:15+: Dark cloud at least 10 miles wide and 20 miles long passes over Anchorage, between 11:15-11:45.
11:55: Ashfall, including large flakes reported from oil platforms.
12:20: Water level in Rust Slough rises slightly at Drift River oil facility but no flooding occurs. Reconnaissance of upper Drift River reveals little or no water flow in channel, question of blockage of the Drift River.
12:50: Light ashfall and dark cloud overhead reported in Wasilla.
14:30: Very light ashfall continues at Anchorage, all but stopped.
PM: FAA report of ashfall W and N of Anchorage (perhaps first event(?)) and also over Kenai Peninsula (perhaps second event (?)). Heaviest low level ash reported W and N of Anchorage. Plume maps show high level winds to east and low level winds to north and northeast.
