An eruption at Augustine Volcano began this morning at approximately 3:55 AM (AST) and continues. The National Weather Service reports that "an ash cloud has been detected and is moving south. The ash cloud is expected to impact the shoreline of Kamishak Bay and could impact Kodiak Island as well."
