08:00: During last 16 hours level of seismic activity high and still increasing, significant chance of moderate explosive activity during the next 24 hours.
15:10: DROF crew evacuates site.
16:00: Continual increase in seismic activity, notification of concern to DES, DROF, and governor's office.
17:48: Onset of explosive event. RDN seismic station fails.
18:00+: Pilot report of intermittent "orange flame" shooting straight up from the volcano visible to about 20,000 feet, bursts occurring on both sides of the orange-flame at altitudes estimated less than 12,000 feet.
18:15: Pilot report of ash plume to 35,000 feet.
19:27: Onset of explosive event larger than 17:48 event. Plume to 12+km; ash to NE; major lahars, largest flood event, water diverted into Rust Slough; dome largely destroyed.
